Nina Zhao-Seiler

TCM practitioner, literal and cultural translator, gardener, poet

Nina is the initiator of tcmherbs.org Medicinal Herb Excursions in China. Nina is fluent in Chinese, she is familiar with the areas we visit on the trips and knows the local experts personally. She plans, organises und accompanies the trips.

Zhang Hao

Professor of Pharmacologie und Pharmacognosy at Sichuan University, Chengdu

Prof Zhang is an expert for the identification and the biochemical analysis of medicinal Herbs of Sichuan. He was the mentor as well as scientific advisor for these trips for many years. His support was and still is of tremendous help in developing the tcmherbs.org project.

Liu Shouyang

Professor für Pharmacognosty at the pharmacology Institut of Guangxi University of TCM in Nanning

Professor Liu Shouyang, who has left us much too early, was known far beyond the borders of Guangxi for his knowledge on plants of the South of China. His advice on identification problems was sought by many experts in the field. Professor Liu established the pharmaceutical Institut of Guangxi TCM University in Nanning. He was the scientific advisor of our trips to Guangxi.

Zhao Hui Li

Pharmaceut and Pharmacognosist

Dr Zhao studied in Heilongjiang und Chengdu. He works in Switzerland were he leads Identification and Quality Control of TCM Medicines since 2003. He has been a scientific advisor for our trips in Sichuan.

Li Minhui

Pharmacognosist and Expert for medicinal Herb cultivation

Dr Li studied in Beijing withProfessor Xiao Peigen. He has co-established and leads the institute of Phytopharmacy at Baotou Medical School and also leads the Bureau for the management of Herbal Medicinal Plant Ressources of the autonomous Region Inner Mongolia, China. He is the scientific advisor for our trips in inner Mongolia.

Yin Hongxiang

Pharmacognosist

Professor Yin completed his studies with Professor Zhang Hao (s.a.). He teaches at the Institute of Ethnopharmacology of Chengdu TCM University . His research focus is on medicinal Herbs of folk medicine traditions in the Province of Sichuan, with a particular focus on edible medicinal and wildgrowing Herbs. He is the scientific advisor for our trips in Sichuan.
